Valentine Ozigbo is a prominent Nigerian business executive, currently serving as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Transcorp Hotels Plc, the hospitality subsidiary of the Nigerian conglomerate Transnational Corporation of Nigeria plc (Transcorp plc). He was appointed to this position in 2011.
Ozigbo hails from Anambra State in southeastern Nigeria. He attended Christ the Redeemer College in Amesi, Anambra State, where he was an outstanding student, representing the college in various quiz competitions. Before his university admission, he taught Physics and Mathematics at the institution.
He studied Accounting at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, graduating in 1994 with the best results in both Accounting and Business Administration. He went on to obtain his MBA in Banking and Finance from the same university in 2000, and later earned an MSc in Finance with distinction from Lancaster University, United Kingdom, in 2004.
Ozigbo holds professional qualifications in accounting (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, 1998), taxation (Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, 2000), and credit administration (Institute of Credit Administration, 2015). He is a fellow of all three institutions.
